“I hired Katie Waite Events to help with three of our four children's weddings that took place during the past 15 years.
Our first daughter was married without Katie's service and I learned how much I needed a wedding planner and coordinator from that experience. We had a garden reception and I did not consider a plan B if it rained.
For the next three children we hired Katie and it made a world of difference.
Katie has an amazing way of helping transform hopes and dreams into a reality.
Each wedding came with specific challenges. She guided us through options and possibilities. She met with each couple and from the start was able to listen and communicate. She has vision in how to tie everything together and the latest decor and product to make it happen.
Each wedding was very different.
The first was an open house in our home.
The second was out of town at a venue that we had all the DIY responsibility from decorating to food.
After meeting with my daughter and her fiancé, finding out what their desires and their plans were, Katie provided us with a design plan and decorations that could be transported. She did a video conference to see the venue and thus a detailed layout of the what went where came with us. It was a wedding in a box! She tutored me and gave me tips on everything. We did not hire her to travel for day of service. She walked me through simply everything - from paying and tipping my vendors to gathering help from family and friends giving them specific assignments. The day was beautiful and went off without a glitch.
The last was a destination wedding.
I really appreciated her interfacing with vendors and individuals I hired. She was able to work out contract details and she knew the questions to ask and what was important.
Our destination wedding was very complex. The location was quite remote and Katie was willing and able to navigate and work through all the details from beginning to end. She coordinated this event and we were so thrilled with the results.
